Chief Legal Officer Phuong Phillips Named 2020 General Counsel of the Year
We are proud to announce that Zynga’s Chief Legal Officer, Phuong Philips, was recently named 2020 General Counsel of the Year by The Women, Influence & Power in Law Awards for her incredible work leading our legal department and her commitment to creating a more diverse workforce. Phillips believes the key to leading a successful team is to offer opportunities for transparent and open dialogue, creating a trusting and effective department.
Phillips joined Zynga in 2017 and has been instrumental in the rapid growth and continuing success of the company under CEO Frank Gibeau — particularly leading the finalization of Zynga’s large-scale M&A and partnerships over the past few years. In addition to overseeing all legal affairs and government relations for the company, Phillips serves as the Executive Chair of Women at Zynga (WAZ), an employee-led resource group that empowers women to succeed and become leaders within the gaming industry. She also serves on the Boards of the California Minority Counsel Program, The Law Foundation of Silicon Valley, Project Glimmer and is a Director of Operations for the Straubel Foundation.
