Women at Zynga (WAZ) is an employee-led community empowering women in gaming by creating more opportunities for them to succeed and grow as leaders in the industry. Founded in 2010, our mission is to foster an inclusive work environment while pushing to correct the gender imbalance that currently exists in gaming.

This September, WAZ’s Austin chapter is excited to partner with Dress for Success (DFS) for “Career Trek Week”. The mission of Dress for Success is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.

Taking place September 15^th-18^th, Career Trek Week is designed to offer further guidance, support and professional tips and tricks to women who have taken DFS’s Career Courses. The event will comprise of two 1-hour webinars exploring a wide range of topics including How to Ace Zoom Interviews, Resume and Interview Tips, Creating a Successful Mentorship and Finding your Voice.

Attendees can look forward to hearing from a diverse panel of Zynga’s very own leaders from departments such as analytics, engineering, human resources and production. In addition to the webinars there will also be 1:1 mentorship sessions between participants and hosts, giving participants an opportunity to garner additional guidance from our industry experts.

We at WAZ are thrilled to be kicking off our first event of the fall season and deeply appreciate our volunteers who dedicate their time and efforts in giving back to our communities. It is through their generosity that we are able to collaborate with incredible organizations such as Dress for Success to create an inclusive, supportive learning environment and provide opportunities for women in our nation and beyond.
