At Zynga, we believe the world needs more young people to develop computer science skills. Only 3% of Black students learn computer science in high school or beyond. Currently, there are numerous structural and cultural barriers to young Black Americans choosing to focus on computer science. This Black History Month, let’s explore ways in which companies and individuals can reduce barriers and increase opportunity for Black youth to study computer science and let them know they belong.
